Profile
Using Pages create a single paged profile about yourself.
Your profile must include:
A photo of you
Name
Age
Birthday
Family
Hobbies
Pets
Best thing about school
Goals for 2012
You may also like to include any extra information that you think is appropriate.
Create large posters with the headings of:
Favourite Food
Favourite TV show
Favourite Animal
Favourite Band/Singer
Favourite Sport
Favourite Subject at School
Place posters evenly around room, class members then move around the room in writing down their response. If your response has already been written simply add a tick next to the other persons response.
Once completed students form small groups in order to collect and present the data from their poster to the whole class.
Build Your Wild Self

Work your way through the menu choosing body parts that suit you as an individual.
Spend some time in deciding on the different body parts to choose for your creature.
Once completed save the wallpaper into your Inquiry folder.
When the class has completed the task we will share our creations with the class, explaining the reasons behind some of our selections.
Class Quiz
Using the sheet that you will be given you are to move around your class finding out all of the relevant information from your classmates. Once we have completed the survey we will hold an open book class quiz based on some of the answers given.
Jigsaw Puzzle
Using a single piece from a large jigsaw you will need to colour and decorate your piece.
Include your name/nickname and anything that you think defines you as a person.
All members of the class will then put the puzzle together to represent the many individuals that make up our classroom.
Class Agreements
Do we need to have a class agreement?
Positives / Negatives
Write down 5 classroom agreements that they feel are important.
Form pairs and share each others classroom agreements and agree on 5 together.
Form groups of 4 in order to finalise a list of 5 classroom agreements to share with the whole class.
As a class decide on a final list of classroom agreements.
Using Pages you will have a set time in order to design a poster with our classroom agreements listed.
A prize will be awarded to the winning poster.
As a class brainstorm responses to the following.
What is a goal?
Why are they important?
What is the difference between short and long term goals?
Individually students come up with a long term and short term learning goal.
Create a class display listing some of the learning goals for future reference.
Set up desktop sticky notes for students to write in their individual weekly learning goal.
